The University of Information Technology (UIT), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), hereby announces the admission for the Bachelor of Software Engineering program for citizens of ASEAN member states in 2026 as follows:
1. Eligibility
1.1 Applicants and Admission Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be citizens of ASEAN member states who wish to study the Bachelor of Software Engineering program at the University of Information Technology – VNU-HCM.
- Have graduated from upper secondary school (high school) or possess an equivalent qualification recognized under the regulations of their home country. Diplomas and certificates issued by foreign educational institutions must be recognized in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.
For the Standard Program (Vietnamese-taught):
- Applicants must possess a Vietnamese language proficiency certificate equivalent to Level B2 (Level 4/6) or higher under the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework for Foreigners.
- Applicants who do not yet possess a Vietnamese language certificate may be considered for admission under the preparatory pathway. If admitted, they will attend a one-year Vietnamese language preparatory course free of charge before commencing the degree program.
For the English-taught Program:
- Applicants must possess an English language proficiency certificate equivalent to IELTS 5.0 or above.
1.2 Legal and Ethical Requirements
Applicants must:
- Not be under criminal investigation or serving a criminal sentence.
- Comply with all applicable laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam as well as regulations concerning immigration and residence for foreign nationals.

3. Admission Method

5.2 English-taught Program

The above tuition fees are estimates and may be adjusted in accordance with the University's regulations.
6. Student Benefits
Admitted students will receive the following support:
- A one-year Vietnamese language preparatory course for students enrolled in the Vietnamese-taught program who do not meet the Vietnamese language entry requirement;
- Advanced Vietnamese language courses for students enrolled in the Vietnamese-taught program;
- Basic Vietnamese language courses for students enrolled in the English-taught program;
- Academic advising throughout the study period;
- Opportunities to participate in industry immersion and enterprise experience courses;
- Academic review sessions before each examination period;
- Participation in extracurricular activities.
Other rights and responsibilities of students shall be governed by the University's Student Affairs Regulations.

Required Documents
Applicants shall submit:
- Completed application form;
- Copy of the Vietnamese language certificate (if applicable) or English language certificate;
- Notarized copy of upper secondary school transcript or equivalent academic records issued by the educational institution;
- Notarized copy of passport.
Application Period
Applications are accepted from the date of this announcement until 29 July 2026.
Successful applicants must submit the original hard-copy documents to the University upon enrollment in accordance with the instructions provided in the Admission Letter.
